Things have been busy around here. If you follow facebook you are kept up to date on most of the exciting things there, but here it is in a nutshell.

Of course there was the 4th with all the happenings with that weekend. Of which we are still recovering! Since it was a holiday, this is where alot of excitments happen for us. The Friday before the 4th, our son Alex went into the doctors for what we thought was a broken toe. It wasn't, but we are glad that we went in. When the doctor started looking at his toe, he thought it might be a bug bite that got infected. After a closer look he decides that it might be a broken toe. So off for x-rays they go, and as for the findings...

There in his pinkie toe, there is a piece of metal needle. We were shocked! The doctor preceeded to make a cut and find the needle. So a cut, a small game of "hide and seek", and 2 stitches later he was doing much better.

Then as of right now 4 out of the 8 of us have gotten strep throat...now do you see why I love holidays? We had strep for Thanksgiving, Valentines, and noe 4th of July. YUCK!!

So I really do have a lot of catching up to do but if I don't write this one up I may forget when I look at pictures on the camera, because they will be just the suburban sitting in the driveway.

So we were on the way home from school when the twins asked if we could go to Grandmas house. I said, "let's go home and have lunch and then we can go up." We get home and make grilled cheese sandwiches and Isaac wasn't eating as fast as the boys so they went outside to wait. I didn't know they had taken the keys with them.

I get Isaac's lunch boxed up with a sippy cup as well as his clothes for the day, yes I get him dressed after his morning nap. With everything in my hands, I walk out the door and that is where the DUH moments starts. As I walked out the door, all I could do is stop and stare down the driveway as my suburban slowly made its way down to the street. The driveway slopes a little at first and gets steeper as it goes down. After the moment of shock wore off, I was able to put my things down, run to the car, open the door, shove the kid out of the seat, and make the flying leap in so that I could stop the runaway car. Now the miracle of this moment is, that the car doors lock as soon as the car is past reverse. So it was no small miracle that the door was unlocked so that I could get in and stop the car.

My legs have been nothing short of shaking for the rest of the day. Hopefully I scared the little boy(William) enough that he won't ever think of doing that again, at least until he is 16.

Birth: 9 pound 4 ounces 21 inches

I can't believe where the last year has gone!! Isaac turned 1 on 3.3.10 and it has been a good year!! Isaac is truly a joy to have around and loves to be outside. He went to the doctor on March 4 for his check-up and here is the comparison to his birth weight and height.

1st Birthday: 22 pounds 13 ounces 30 inches

He has grown really well. As for the other things about Isaac- he crawled at 5 months and walked and 10.5 months, and has 7 teeth. He loves to eat and play outside. In fact if the door gets opened and he doesn't get out that door you better plug those ears because he will scream. We went to the park the other day and climbed the stairs, headed for the slide, got down on his tummy and went down all by himself head first. Then he turned around a climbed all the way up the slide and did it again. He is FEARLESS!! I can't wait to see what this next year brings for Isaac and us.

So life has been a little busy around here lately...not really but it is always a good excuse right. Let me start with the most exciting news of all, my baby is walking!! I know I can hardly believe it myself where did that time go?? At 10.5 months Isaac is walking almost everywhere. I will admit he isn't 100% stable, but he is pretty good. He will only crawl when he wants to get somewhere faster than what he can walk. I am trying to get some pictures but I haven't accomplished that one yet :)

So this last weekend Jason was cooking dinner for me and the kids because I was off doing something else and he just decided to take it and run with it even though he wasn't going to eat it(spahetti, something he can't have). When all of a sudden he is screaming and yelling in pain. Apparently, when he drained the noodles all of the hot water went over the edge of the collendar and landed on the top of his foot. Luckliy, a trip to Target in a snowstorm got us through and all is mending well. Sorry no pictures of this because Jason is not one for pictures.

Now just for some littler things that are happening. Brinley is excitedly preparing for the school spelling bee on Friday, she was a finalist from her class and is spending lots of extra time with a list of words up and through the 8th grade...we wish her lots of luck!! Now onto Kyler. Kyler turned 8 this last October and we can honestly say I have never seen a kid so excited to be a scout!! Jason is Club Master so I don't know if that adds to it, or if it is just the "scout" title. Every January they hold the "Pinewood Derby" and my son is no exception to the excitement that comes with building the car. We can hardly contain the excitement and I will post pictures of that event come Thursday. Bryson is well Bryson...nothing but trouble with a capital "T", and the twins are right there behind him in everything he does.

I have been running everyday. It is going alot slower than I remember it taking, but I am loving the time I have for myself. Somedays I just don't get there( my mom's house), and wish I had a treadmill of my own so I could do it when Isaac is napping. But I have given myself plenty of training time and I think I will be ready for the half-marathon in plenty of time. Just a little update of the things happening in our lives.

Well it is here. The new year....2010. Can you believe it? I really can't! It has been a wonderful year. Some exciting moments...and some less excting moments. But overall it has been a great year. I wish all of you a wonderful year with many fun things to come.

Christmas was fun with lots of presents, messes, and parties too. With favorite presents ranging from Madame Alexander Doll for Brinley, Leapster2's for the 3 middle boys (Bryson, William, and Alexander), Remote Control Wall-E for Kyler, and a pushing/riding car for Isaac, that the kids fight over whose turn it is to push him. It has all come to an end as yesterday it was all put away. Hopefully, now as the kids are back in school, things will get back to normal... Hooray. Now to the New Year's Resoulutions. I think I have really overdone it, but I am hoping to stick it out. My goal for this year is to get back in shape with running and Pilates. I am hoping to finish out this goal with running a Half-Marathon in August. I am beginning to feel the weight of this decision. Seeing as I haven't ran is many years, and I have yet to start. But I am going to keep at it, and hopefully I will make it.

Finally we move onto Bryson. Bryson has felt very left out lately. Everyone is losing teeth in his class and school and he hasn't lost any....until now. Last week Bryson came inside with an apple in his mouth saying that he had a loose tooth. I didn't believe because up until that moment he hadn't said anything. But sure enough because within 30 seconds of being home the tooth was out. To make this story even better the second tooth became loose the next day and he lost that one as well.

Now in our family we like to say that in order for the baby to cut teeth someone has to loose some teeth and Bryson provided his teeth so that Isaac could have his two bottom teeth. One was a little late, but, better late than never.

So this next update starts with Isaac and well...
Teething on a pumpkin. I will take you back to Conference weekend. Jason had decided to take the boys outside to help him fill in a window well hole that we had dug out earlier this year. The boys all went out and found shovels to help Dad. They all cam back with shovels only Kyler's had a broken handle. We thought nothing of this until later. They started filling the hole and Kyler's shovel got stuck in the dirt and couldn't get it out. William was behind that shovel when it came out of the dirt. The result wasn't pretty! We toke William into the eye doctor who toke a good look at everything. He ended up with 6 scratches on the conera, and one deep one right next to it. They doctor thought it would need stitches so he recommended us taking him to see the eye surgeon on Monday morning. He also told us that it was a good thing it wasn't just a little farther the other way because it would have ruptered the eye. Thank Heavens for the centimeter. We toke him in, and the surgeon told us that everything was healing fine and that it needed no stitches. Again very good news. William recovered just fine, he just had a red eye for a few days.

So we have been doing some exciting things at the house...well at least the 3 middle boys. Bryson and William toke to riding their 2-wheelers around labor day which was exciting because William had never thought about a bike and he just picked it up and off he went. Alex on the other hand would have a meltdown whenever you mentioned the word bike. He would get on the bike and when you would let go he would stop peddaling and stop the bike. Well today something clicked and he decided he would give it 100%. Once he did that he was off and running. We are so happy for you boys. Now it just means that I have to keep tabs on you more often because you already have the habit of going all over the place and not telling anyone where you are going. Alex was so happy to finally be riding the bike after so many days of trying, that he was singing,"You can't catch me I am the gingerbread boy!!" We are all excited at our house. The kids have been counting down the days since the first of August. Well all except Brinley who has been counting since the first day of June. But we have finally made it here and I don't think there is one of us who can beg for just one more day of summer fun. The only complaint I am hearing is from the twins who aren't starting Pre-school for a few more days...but at least this too will pass and they will all be gone at least for a few hours a day.

Way to go kids!!I hope that you have a wonderful year.

Here are their first day of school pictures at least the older children.

Kyler: 2nd grade
Brinley: 4th grade
Bryson: 1st grade

So what a great Labor Day we had. Well...sort of. It started out okay. We went down to Payson to watch the parade in which Uncle Don, and cousins Robbie and Ian shared with us the amazing bagpipe talent they have. We came home and it was just a beautiful day that we just wanted to be outside. Isaac didn't sleep all day and we were exhausted from the infants lack of sleep(it really just drains you when an infant doesn't sleep). We had dinner and then I toke Isaac outside to sit with Jason while he worked on the boys bikes. Isaac was down crawling around and started hanging on Jason's bike the next thing we know Isaac was screaming and blood was running down his hand.

We rushed him to the InstaCare but they wouldn't touch it so to the ER we go. After 4 long hours and 4 stitches later we arrived home. It looked like someone seriously toke a giant pair of nail clipper and clipped through his nail. We aren't sure what happened other than they had to take the top part of the nail off so they could stitch the nail bed up. The good news is that the bottom nail stayed in the nail bed or they would have pulled that out and stitched it back in so that the nail bed would stay open for the new nail to come in. What a wonderful end to our Labor Day 2009.

This is our Bryson. He looks and acts very innocent. But looks can be decieving. This picture on the right is his head after he had 2 staples put in.

It is Sunday afternoon and the Home Teachers had just got to our house. Bryson was so active all day but when they got here he got really active. He was jumping around and as I walked into the room he went down onto the concrete hearth of the fireplace. They said it was up to us if we wanted to put the staples in-but as a mother of this very active boy I decided to get them put in to keep all the little boy junk out of the wound.

They will be in his head for 7 days at which point the doctor gave Jason the staple remover to take them out. Alex is missing a tooth at 4 years old. Alex was playing one day and got hit in the mouth. He told us it was hurting but we already had dentist appointments so I decided that we would just want a few weeks until the appointments.

Well we went and it was infected. The dentist said we could leave it and try and save it but it might not work, and risk the infection going up into the permenant tooth. Or we could pull it out. We choose to have it pulled. So in one day Alex had 2 cavities filled, and a tooth pulled. When asked if he still likes the dentist he replied, "Of course." We love our Alex.

So I finally became somewhat creative with my blog. But we haven't had any accidents yet. The kids are all over the place and enjoying a lot of time outside. Alex has collected quite the collection of many snails(yuck!) but they have since lost their lives(how sad). The boys (all of them) managed to kill the fish from the fish tank so I had to restock the tank last week. It started out as cleaning the fish tank and the twins were fishing for the fish in the bucket while I went out to clean the tank. The older boys came in to see what was going on and continued to join them in the fun. And the fish didn't survive. One might have but he got the flush anyway.

Brinley is just Brinley. She always has a book in her hands. She is having a hard time because her best friend(adopted sister) Drew is in Arizona all summer long and she doesn't know what to do with her time.

Jason and I toke the kids to Chuck E. Cheese on Friday and we are planning on doing little things at last once a week with the children this summer. Which is fun for the children since Jason has not been able to do alot with them. They had a great time. Other than Dad got to hold the little one the whole time. Which he doesn't seem to care. I like the break.

So this is just the beginning to our summer.

So here I am...finally. Isaac is 2 months old today and a heavy 14 pounds. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to updating all of you who check up on us. Isaac was born on 3/3/09--square root day for all of you crazy birthday people. He weighed in at a wonderful 9 pounds 4 ounces and was born at 7:34pm. He has dark hair and blue eyes (I am trying to get someone to help with pictures). We love him and he is great. Loves to smile and is starting to coo at us at home. He had RSV at 3 weeks. No hospitalization was needed; just a few cleanings of the nose at the hospital and we were good to go. The children love him a little too much. The first few days at home I felt like I had vultures on my shoulders all the time. They contiue to fight over who is sitting by him in the car, the usual sibiling rivilary.

On to other things. We have finished two major remodeling projects: a bathroom and a bedroom. Both of which we totally gutted. They look much better and we are enjoying the added space in the bathroom. Hopefully, we won't have any more problems now that they are done. We had just sheetrocked the bedroom downstairs to find that they boys had jumped on the washed drain pipe and snaped it causing the washer to drain into the bedroom, and that is just one of the things that happened during this remodeling job --Life is never dull at our house. So if you need something exciting, come on over, we can share.

William flooded the kitchen with the kitchen sink sprayer, and smashed Alex's finger in the door last night before bed--can life get anymore exciting?

Well here we are, for those of you checking my wonderful blog(ha, ha, ha). We are on the countdown here at our house. The baby will be coming on Monday, March 2nd if he hasn't made it here before then. So yes, we are all very excited and awaiting his arrival. But in the meantime we are trying to get everyone better. Jason went to the doctor on Sunday to find that he has pneumonia. Which he has apparently had for 3 weeks. So he has started his medicine and hopefully will be feeling much better before the baby gets here. Brinley is hopefully getting better. She has had a cough for about 6 weeks, and has thankfully passed it through all the children. Well that is about it for now and we will keep you posted with the baby news and if you are lucky I might learn how to post some pictures of the handsome guy when he gets here.

Wow where does the time go? I can't believe we are already well into December. I have to see that our Christmas shopping is close to almost done, and I can't say that I am excited about that. We have one tree up and the children keep asking when the other one is going up,( it is their tree, that they decorate, with their ornaments)and I honestly can't say that I am excited about doing another tree, but it is something that they are excited about so I guess that means I need to do it for them if nothing else.

Well we had another exciting happening in the family. Alexander has finally made his debut at the InstaCare. We had a piece of glass under the living room sofa and Alex slipped his foot under and sliced his little toe open--he had 5 stitches. That was exciting.

Jason and I will celebrate our 10 years of marriage this next weekend on the 19th. We did have family pictures taken so as soon as I can figure things out I will post some of those. But other than that we really are all doing great and looking forward to Christmas. We wish all of you a Merry Christmas and hope that all is well during the Holiday season.

The Baby Is...

So I have finally made it to the famous 20th week of my pregnancy which brings the fun ultrasound. So yes, we did have our ultrasound this last week and the sex of our child is....another boy. Yes, I think we were all hoping for a girl especially Jason, Brinley and myself but at least all is going well. We can't ask for anything more than that.

It is also UEA weekend so I decided to take the children to Gardner Village to do the Witch Hunt they do the whole month of October. But since the whole state had the weekend off there was a million people and no where to park, so we ended up getting pumpkins and lunch and calling it good. And from there we decided to skip anything with a crowd of people.

Today is Brinley's brithday and I took her shopping for clothes on Saturday, that was a lot of fun. And today she is off spending the day with her friends and we are having a family birthday party tonight with cake and ice cream, since she is worried she isn't seeing her extended family enough. Tomorrow brings going back to school, and the progression of fall--We all love fall.

So yesterday, we had another exciting day with our lovely son William. He and Bryson escaped my view while outside playing and ran over to the neighbors house. I had just finished a phone call when I heard William crying and then it stopped so I didn't think anything of it. A few minutes later I heard the crying again closer to the house, so I went outside to check it out. There was William with blood running down his face.

I don't know the whole or the truth of the story because I am getting the account from my 5 year old son Bryson. I was told that they were running and William tripped in the neighbors bushes and fell into the corner of the house. There on the temple of his head was a triangle shaped opening.

I took him to the doctors and he now has a single staple in his head for the second time in about a year. My son was so brave. As the doctor was numbing his head he didn't even cry once. All we got out of him was, "That hurts!" The doctor then put the staple in and off William running exclaiming, "Now I am all better!" I just don't know what we are going to do with this accident prone child of mine.

So good morning to all of you faithful ones who are checking my blog--I am working on it, slowly. I do have a great story to tell about my wonderful twins, who are at Pre-school this morning, THANK GOODNESS. Last Friday( I believe) I left the twins in the kitchen and went to sit down and watch the cartoons they wanted to watch. Anyway, all of a sudden I can smell peanut butter. I go out to the kitchen to find them completely covered with peanut butter. Head to toe--in the hair, ears, and other parts. Needless to say the camera was not working that day, but as I like to say it was the "Blue Man Group" in my kitchen only it was brown and not blue. To make things better, being pregnant peanut butter is not one of my favorite things right now. So there you have it and made an entry again without a picture. Sorry :(

So today is my birthday...Happy Birthday to me. It has been a somewhat happy day. It was full of running to children all over to their things and then I finally get to relax. Brinley had swimming lessons at 11:30-12:00 and we played at the park. After that I took my boys to my mom's so that I could go to lunch with Jason, my husband, because that is what works best with the pregnancy. After I dropped them off at Grandma's I took Brinley to her best friend Drew's for the afternoon. I enjoyed lunch with my husband at JCW's, the went to Hillcrest to see about transfering my son, Kyler, over there to join his siblings at the same school, and then I went back to my mom's for a good part of the afternoon. Hopefully, tonight I will get some R&R when Jason takes the kids birthday shopping. Maybe, I will be asleep before they get back-wishful thinking.

Exciting News

So...sorry I am a little slow on keeping up on things. I have been a little preoccupied. Has you can see we have some news to share with all of you that check our blog. Yes, we are expecting our last and final addition to our family. The children are very excited, we the parents are...well we have forgotten once again the joys of pregnancy. I am in the mist of "morning sickness" and I am NOT enjoying it to say the least. The things we do to have these spirits in our homes. The baby is due on March 8, 2009. There is only one, which is a huge relief for Jason and I. I did the twin thing once. I would have done it again, but I am really glad it is just one.

Just Like Uncle Ezra

So two weeks ago we were at my Mom's for Father's Day and the boys keep saying how they wanted their hair cut just like Uncle Ezra. Well....finally, we gave in to the boys, and this is the result.

I guess it could have been worse. Alex, one of the twins, was so tired that when he was done, he felt his head, realized what he had done and fell to the ground in tears. Jason picked him up and held him within minutes he was asleep. Bryson, our one son who choose not to shave his head did so because as he put it, "It won't grow back." This comes because we tease Daddy about shaving his head and his response is, "Mine won't grow back. Thank you Ezra for at least having a "good" influence on the boys.

This is the start of something good.

Hello my dear family members out there all over everywhere.
