Finally we move onto Bryson. Bryson has felt very left out lately. Everyone is losing teeth in his class and school and he hasn't lost any....until now. Last week Bryson came inside with an apple in his mouth saying that he had a loose tooth. I didn't believe because up until that moment he hadn't said anything. But sure enough because within 30 seconds of being home the tooth was out. To make this story even better the second tooth became loose the next day and he lost that one as well.

Now in our family we like to say that in order for the baby to cut teeth someone has to loose some teeth and Bryson provided his teeth so that Isaac could have his two bottom teeth. One was a little late, but, better late than never.

So this next update starts with Isaac and well...
Teething on a pumpkin. Isaac cut his first tooth the weekend of the 16th of October, the day of Kyler's birthday party. But we worked though it, and everything turned out great other the EXHAUSTION! So yes he found a pumpkin that had been cleaned out and was ready to be carved and started chewing away on it.

So the kids are keeping us busy as usually-hence the backup on the blog. I will take you back to Conference weekend. Jason had decided to take the boys outside to help him fill in a window well hole that we had dug out earlier this year. The boys all went out and found shovels to help Dad. They all cam back with shovels only Kyler's had a broken handle. We thought nothing of this until later. They started filling the hole and Kyler's shovel got stuck in the dirt and couldn't get it out. William was behind that shovel when it came out of the dirt. The result wasn't pretty! We toke William into the eye doctor who toke a good look at everything. He ended up with 6 scratches on the conera, and one deep one right next to it. They doctor thought it would need stitches so he recommended us taking him to see the eye surgeon on Monday morning. He also told us that it was a good thing it wasn't just a little farther the other way because it would have ruptered the eye. Thank Heavens for the centimeter. We toke him in, and the surgeon told us that everything was healing fine and that it needed no stitches. Again very good news. William recovered just fine, he just had a red eye for a few days.

So we have been doing some exciting things at the house...well at least the 3 middle boys. Bryson and William toke to riding their 2-wheelers around labor day which was exciting because William had never thought about a bike and he just picked it up and off he went. Alex on the other hand would have a meltdown whenever you mentioned the word bike. He would get on the bike and when you would let go he would stop peddaling and stop the bike. Well today something clicked and he decided he would give it 100%. Once he did that he was off and running. We are so happy for you boys. Now it just means that I have to keep tabs on you more often because you already have the habit of going all over the place and not telling anyone where you are going. Alex was so happy to finally be riding the bike after so many days of trying, that he was singing,"You can't catch me I am the gingerbread boy!!" It was really rather cute. Way to go boys.

Summer has come to an end and to this we say "Thank You!" We are all excited at our house. The kids have been counting down the days since the first of August. Well all except Brinley who has been counting since the first day of June. But we have finally made it here and I don't think there is one of us who can beg for just one more day of summer fun. The only complaint I am hearing is from the twins who aren't starting Pre-school for a few more days...but at least this too will pass and they will all be gone at least for a few hours a day.

Way to go kids!!I hope that you have a wonderful year.

Here are their first day of school pictures at least the older children.

Kyler: 2nd grade
Brinley: 4th grade
Bryson: 1st grade

So what a great Labor Day we had. Well...sort of. It started out okay. We went down to Payson to watch the parade in which Uncle Don, and cousins Robbie and Ian shared with us the amazing bagpipe talent they have. We came home and it was just a beautiful day that we just wanted to be outside. Isaac didn't sleep all day and we were exhausted from the infants lack of sleep(it really just drains you when an infant doesn't sleep). We had dinner and then I toke Isaac outside to sit with Jason while he worked on the boys bikes. Isaac was down crawling around and started hanging on Jason's bike the next thing we know Isaac was screaming and blood was running down his hand.

We rushed him to the InstaCare but they wouldn't touch it so to the ER we go. After 4 long hours and 4 stitches later we arrived home. It looked like someone seriously toke a giant pair of nail clipper and clipped through his nail. We aren't sure what happened other than they had to take the top part of the nail off so they could stitch the nail bed up. The good news is that the bottom nail stayed in the nail bed or they would have pulled that out and stitched it back in so that the nail bed would stay open for the new nail to come in. What a wonderful end to our Labor Day 2009.

This is our Bryson. He looks and acts very innocent. But looks can be decieving. This picture on the right is his head after he had 2 staples put in.
It is Sunday afternoon and the Home Teachers had just got to our house. Bryson was so active all day but when they got here he got really active. He was jumping around and as I walked into the room he went down onto the concrete hearth of the fireplace. They said it was up to us if we wanted to put the staples in-but as a mother of this very active boy I decided to get them put in to keep all the little boy junk out of the wound.
They will be in his head for 7 days at which point the doctor gave Jason the staple remover to take them out. We will see how that goes next week.

This is Alex. Alex is missing a tooth at 4 years old. Alex was playing one day and got hit in the mouth. He told us it was hurting but we already had dentist appointments so I decided that we would just want a few weeks until the appointments.

Well we went and it was infected. The dentist said we could leave it and try and save it but it might not work, and risk the infection going up into the permenant tooth. Or we could pull it out. We choose to have it pulled. So in one day Alex had 2 cavities filled, and a tooth pulled. When asked if he still likes the dentist he replied, "Of course." We love our Alex.

So I finally became somewhat creative with my blog. I even have a picture on my profile. Well We are going to try to show you some pictures of the baby. Here is little(big) Isaac. Sorry his hands are in his face but here you are. Jason is feeling left out because I no longer need him to show me how to do these things. I love you anyway.

Well summer is well under way at our house and the first week was anything but calm. But we haven't had any accidents yet. The kids are all over the place and enjoying a lot of time outside. Alex has collected quite the collection of many snails(yuck!) but they have since lost their lives(how sad). The boys (all of them) managed to kill the fish from the fish tank so I had to restock the tank last week. It started out as cleaning the fish tank and the twins were fishing for the fish in the bucket while I went out to clean the tank. The older boys came in to see what was going on and continued to join them in the fun. And the fish didn't survive. One might have but he got the flush anyway.

Brinley is just Brinley. She always has a book in her hands. She is having a hard time because her best friend(adopted sister) Drew is in Arizona all summer long and she doesn't know what to do with her time.

Jason and I toke the kids to Chuck E. Cheese on Friday and we are planning on doing little things at last once a week with the children this summer. Which is fun for the children since Jason has not been able to do alot with them. They had a great time. Other than Dad got to hold the little one the whole time. Which he doesn't seem to care. I like the break.

So this is just the beginning to our summer.

So here I am...finally. Isaac is 2 months old today and a heavy 14 pounds. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to updating all of you who check up on us. Isaac was born on 3/3/09--square root day for all of you crazy birthday people. He weighed in at a wonderful 9 pounds 4 ounces and was born at 7:34pm. He has dark hair and blue eyes (I am trying to get someone to help with pictures). We love him and he is great. Loves to smile and is starting to coo at us at home. He had RSV at 3 weeks. No hospitalization was needed; just a few cleanings of the nose at the hospital and we were good to go. The children love him a little too much. The first few days at home I felt like I had vultures on my shoulders all the time. They contiue to fight over who is sitting by him in the car, the usual sibiling rivilary.

On to other things. We have finished two major remodeling projects: a bathroom and a bedroom. Both of which we totally gutted. They look much better and we are enjoying the added space in the bathroom. Hopefully, we won't have any more problems now that they are done. We had just sheetrocked the bedroom downstairs to find that they boys had jumped on the washed drain pipe and snaped it causing the washer to drain into the bedroom, and that is just one of the things that happened during this remodeling job --Life is never dull at our house. So if you need something exciting, come on over, we can share.

William flooded the kitchen with the kitchen sink sprayer, and smashed Alex's finger in the door last night before bed--can life get anymore exciting?

Well here we are, for those of you checking my wonderful blog(ha, ha, ha). We are on the countdown here at our house. The baby will be coming on Monday, March 2nd if he hasn't made it here before then. So yes, we are all very excited and awaiting his arrival. But in the meantime we are trying to get everyone better. Jason went to the doctor on Sunday to find that he has pneumonia. Which he has apparently had for 3 weeks. So he has started his medicine and hopefully will be feeling much better before the baby gets here. Brinley is hopefully getting better. She has had a cough for about 6 weeks, and has thankfully passed it through all the children. Well that is about it for now and we will keep you posted with the baby news and if you are lucky I might learn how to post some pictures of the handsome guy when he gets here.
